Delivery fees breakdown

Updated over a week ago

Fees

Stuart acts as an agent between our clients and the couriers. This means that when you request a delivery via the Stuart platform, you will contract directly with the courier for the provision of the delivery services. However, the delivery fee associated with the delivery service solely provided by couriers is invoiced by Stuart on behalf of such couriers. This is part of our role as an agent.

As such, Stuart bills you directly for the agreed price per delivery. This price includes two components:

(i) the cost of the delivery service provided to you by the couriers, which we collect from you and pass on to such couriers, which we refer to as a delivery fee; and

(ii) the cost of additional services provided to you by Stuart, such as the cost of connecting you with the couriers, which we refer to as a service fee.

Will VAT be applied to the fees?

The fee per delivery that is stated on the Stuart App when you request a delivery or that Stuart has agreed with you always excludes Value Added Tax (VAT).

VAT will be applied in addition to the total fee per delivery as follows:

  • The Service fee is subject to VAT at the rate of 20%.

  • The Delivery Fee is subject to VAT at the rate of 20% only when a courier is VAT registered.

How does Stuart bill you?

The way Stuart will bill you for the fees depends on your payment method.

If you request your delivery services via the Stuart App and pay the fees by credit card, Stuart will bill you as follows:

  • Following each delivery, you will receive a [consolidated] service fee invoice and a delivery fee invoice / receipt.

If you request delivery services via the Stuart App or direct integration with Stuart’s API and pay the fees via direct debit, Stuart will bill you as follows:

  • At the end of each calendar week, you will receive a service fee invoice and delivery fee statement reference along with a breakdown of all your deliveries carried out in the previous week in a csv format.
